The most common role for the husband is simply the provider of the family which means that the husband goes to work and brings money to the house. Seems like there is nothing special about this type of role, except for his full confidence and trust in his wife.
In Japan, many wives choose to stay at home and manage the household finances. The husband gives his entire salary to his wife, who then handles expenses, savings, and the husband’s pocket money. In Japan, wives give their husbands an allowance that they can spend as they wish. Of course, as time and trends are changing and moving the world, the roles are changing a bit too but most of the couples that already have this kind of relationship are just changing it into the way that is comfortable for themselves. Nowadays, the roles can also switch to the wife being the provider and the husband taking care of the house, but this is not so widespread, as Japan still likes the old way.
